Assessing Learning

The Assessing Learning micro-credential will provide you with an introduction to some important elements of assessment, and the management of assessment risk through the application of assessment quality practices, including moderation.

This micro-credential will help you to develop your understanding of the purposes of assessment and your role in the assessment process (assessment design, communication, marking, analysis of results and feedback).

This micro-credential will also provide a brief overview of academic integrity, plagiarism and academic misconduct.

By examining good practice principles for their prevention, detection and management, you will develop strategies on how you can minimise the impact of breaches of academic integrity on student learning and assessment quality.

Feedback is central to learning and assessment in a separate micro-credential, we will examine how feedback can be best leveraged to support learning.
