Writing an effective abstract plays a vital role in communicating your research. Your abstract is the first section read by reviewers and other researchers, so it's important to not only give an overview of your presentation or paper, but also to effectively communicate your argument. This interactive workshop introduces researchers to the basic building blocks - Why, How, What, and So what - that structure a successful abstract. This workshop is specifically tailored to staff intending to present at ECUlture, and focuses on ways of communicating how their research contributes to our understanding of new practices, strategies and technologies in teaching and learning.
