Third Party Provider Teaching (PDC115) is primarily offered online. This online, self-paced course (3 hours) is required for ALL academics who are teaching in programs at ECU's third party partner institutions. PDC115 Local is for ECU staff based in Western Australia who travel to teach in an offshore context. PDC115 Domestic is for staff who teach in an ECU course located at a third party partner institution in Australian. PDC115 Offshore is for staff based offshore who teach in an ECU course located at a third party partner institution offshore. PDC115 Domestic and Offshore courses will also include a 1 hour webinar.
This course outlines key principles, frameworks and policies that govern teaching in a third party partner institution. Staff are supported to gain an awareness of the impact of cultural differences on learning and how to address the learning needs of non-Australian students. How to contextualise the curriculum to suit a variety of contexts and improve the learning outcomes for students in our third party programs is explored.
Completion for this course is recommended within the first month of teaching at ECU. Courses will run monthly with enrolment commencing on the first of every month, except for during February and July when enrolment will be accepted every day.
