On-campus Learning & Teaching (PDC112)

On-Campus Learning & Teaching (PDC112) is a blended course that incorporates one face-to-face workshop (4 hours) and a series of self-paced, online activities (2 hours). This course explores active, learner-centred teaching practices, how to create dynamic classrooms and build culturally inclusive adult oriented learning environments. You will become informed about assessment and feedback practices, develop an awareness of how to adapt your teaching to small or large class contexts and build practical skills to integrate technology products and bridge to learning in the online space.

Following the workshop you will gain access to the PDC112 Blackboard site, which contains activities to build upon the workshop and includes additional information about expectations and compliance aspects of the on-campus teaching role. Completion for this course is recommended within six months of undertaking this role at ECU. This course will run several times a year during non-teaching weeks.
